LASPOTECH student commits suicide after girlfriend of 9 years dumped him(photos)

A Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTECH student identified as Ezekiel Joseph Mayowa has reportedly committed suicide after he was dumped by his girlfriend of nine years. 

The LASPOTECH student, was a Part time HMT (Hospitality and Management Technology) student of Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu campus, and the President of their department.

He took his life by ingesting the insecticide called ‘sniper’

A Twitter user who shared photos of the deceased, wrote;

President of Hospitality Management Department, Lagos State Polytechnic, just committed suicide by drinking Sniper after his girlfriend allegedly jilted him. What is happening?

Mayowa during a live video on his Facebook page, last night, in his room was video’d crying while holding a bottle of sniper.

According to what he said, he ‘lost his girlfriend’ when she went for NYSC. He said since his girlfriend got into the NYSC camp, she changed.

He said the lady took advantage of a mistake that happened 3 years ago as an advantage to break up with him. He advised the Federal government to scrap NYSC and also advised men to make money before dating any woman.

He reiterated that he had tried his best, but his girlfriend wanted someone who was more financially buoyant. He disclosed that he’d been dating the said girl for 9 years, 3 months and 9 days.

He says he pleaded and pleaded with the said girl, but she refused. In the video, he apologized to his mother for treading this path. He then made mention of some names, saying he’d miss them all.
