Police arrest five in Abuja for claiming to have the Coronavirus [photo]

Five persons have been apprehended by the FCT police force after they lied that they had contracted the fatal corona virus at the Wuse District Hospital. 

Anjuguri Manzah, the FCT police Spokesperson revealed that the suspects claimed they were acting out a script. They have since been paraded at the Wuse Zone 3 Divisional Police station.

The suspects were identified as Peggy Shandi (M), Abayomi Adedoyin (M), David Gold Enemigin (M) Priscilla AJesola (F) and Jacob Oji (M). 

Meanwhile the corona virus which has been spread across China and some other countries has no confirmed case in Nigeria as reiterated by the FCT Department of Public Health.

The Director of Public Health, Dr Josephine Okechukwu, said the prank led to panic and confusion as well as a disruption of normal health service delivery at the hospital. 

She described the prank as costly and capable of cause mass disruption of released on social media as facts.
