Pandemonium as AEDC official escapes with serious injuries after colleague was stabbed to death for disconnecting owing customers

The head of Corporate Communication at AEDC, Oyebode Fadipe, has confirmed the murder and serious maiming of two of the staff whom had gone to disconnect power from a community. 

One Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) employee was stabbed to death from behind by one of the defaulting customers who sneaked up on them.

The AEDC  employees has been on duty in the Kabusa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Tuesday afternoon, February 25 when the incident occurred.

The body of the deceased AEDC official has been deposited at the mortuary in Garki Hospital, Area 8, Abuja, Guardian reports. The assailant has been arrested and is in police custody.

Fadipe said that the attacks on their staffers had become recurrent and rampant.

He vowed that the AEDC would see the matter to its completion as no such behavior would be tolerated anymore.
