BREAKING: Appeal Court Discharges IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu of Terrorism Charges

The leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has been discharged and acquitted of terrorism charges by the the court of Appeal suiting in Abuja.

Dockaysworld gathered that the court upheld the appeal of the detained Nnamdi Kanu dated April 29 and marked CA/ABJ/CR/625/2022 wherein he applied to be discharged and acquitted.

The Appeal Court in a judgment by Justice Oludotun Adebola voided and set aside the charges by the Federal Government against Kanu.

Kanu was first arraigned on December 23, 2015, and was later granted bail on April 25, 2017.

The court of appeal’s judgement is on the grounds that the arrest and return of Nnamdi Kanu was illegal and unlawful. It further squashed the terrorism charges brought against Kanu by the FG.

According to the court, the illegality of the arrest voided the charges brought by the federal government.
