The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered an investigation into the alleged assault and harassment on a police woman, Olorunsogo Bamidele, by her superior, one Mr Ajayi Mathew, in Osun State.

The officer of the Nigerian Police, in a viral video seen by Dockaysworld, showed her injuries and torn clothing which she said resulted from an altercation with her superior who had meted out the cruel punishment on her because she refused to date him.

She accused Mr Matthew of stripping her and beating her in the presence of other officers and civilians who had attempted to rescue her.

According to the distraught officer, he had threatened to gun her down for her response to him despite her explanation that she is a married woman.
