The All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Lionel Messi for his World Cup win in Qatar with Argentina.
This was conveyed via the official Twitter page of the former Lagos state Governor who used his catchphrase ‘e mi lo kan’ meaning it’s my turn.
The running joke being that it was Messi’s turn to win the world cup after missing out in the finals in the past.
Argentina had gone 2 nil up in the finals before France pulled an upset through rising star Kylian Mbappe and equalized 2-2. A goal on each side in extra time saw the game move to penalties where Argentina emerged victorious.
The win is said to cap off an age long ‘GOAT’ -Greatest Of All Time- argument which many believe Messi had won over closest rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
