The Election Petitions Tribunal hearing has sacked Ademola Adeleke from being the Governor of Osun state and ruled in favor of Adegboyega Oyetola.
Justice Tetsea Kume, while delivering a majority decision, declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission did not comply substantially with the constitution and the provisions of the Electoral Act.
The judge removed the over-voting in some areas which brought the votes down to 314, 921 for Oyetola and 290, 266 for Adeleke.

He directed INEC to withdraw Adeleke’s certificate of return and issue another one to Oyetola who won a majority of the lawful votes.

Adeleke has rejected the decision and is set to take the matter to the appeal court.
