BREAKING: LP’s Peter Obi Beats Tinubu in Lagos

The Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi has defeated the All progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his home Lagos state.

This was announced by the Lagos state presidential election returning officer Prof Adenile Oladiji in the state on Monday.

He announced that Peter Obi had scored the highest votes in the election with 582,454 votes and the APC coming second with 572,606 votes.

The result is significant as Tinubu’s party has never lost an election since 1999 and the results are unexpected as the man himself is on the ballot for the first time as a presidential candidate.
