The multifaceted land and air assault reportedly targeted key areas in Borno State, including the notorious Sambisa Forest and the Timbuktu Triangle.

In the course of the offensive, scores of Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters were neutralized, and over 25 terrorist camps were cleared and destroyed.

Notably, a clash in Ukuba, Sambisa, led to the neutralization of 11 ISWAP fighters, causing the remaining terrorists to scatter.

The troops also recovered various weapons and equipment, disrupting the insurgents’ activities.

Days after the operation, ISWAP commanders, including Abu Aisha and four assistant commanders – Bako, Mallam Abubakar, Abu Ibrahim, and Hanzala – are now reportedly on the run.
