Man caught in Plateau bank with bomb strapped to chest

In Dadin Kowa town, Jos South, Plateau state, a man equipped with a Person Borne Improvised Explosive Device (SPBIED) was intercepted by security operatives at a bank.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama posted on X that the vigilant bank security thwarted the attack after noticing the suspect on May 13.

Sources informed Makama that the man intended to detonate the explosives inside the bank but was detected by a vigilant security officer, triggering an alert. Following the suspect’s capture, an enraged crowd demanded his execution.

It remains unverified whether the suspect has ties to the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP). As of now, the suspect is under police custody for further investigation.
