The Kano Emir’s Palace, Kofar Kudu, is under heavy security as armed police and State Security Service (SSS) operatives block entry and exit.
According to Daily Nigerian, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II is reportedly scheduled to accompany Munir Sanusi, the newly-appointed Wamban Kano, to his assigned post in Bichi Local Government Area.
However, the Emir was barred from attending the royal ceremony.
