Gunmen disguised as EFCC operatives, kidnap guests from hotel in Niger


Armed men pretending to be operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road in Niger State’s Chanchaga Local Government Area on Tuesday, February 27, 2025, around 4:58 a.m.

According to Sahara Reporters, the attackers disabled the hotel’s CCTV cameras before forcibly entering guests’ rooms and abducting ten individuals.

They then took the victims to an unknown location.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department, confirmed that investigations are underway to identify the criminals and rescue the victims.

Authorities have urged the public to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.

Efforts to get a response from EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale were unsuccessful, as his phone was switched off at the time of reporting.
