The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has directed the newly formed Interim Management Committee of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Golf Club to start working immediately.
His Senior Special Assistant, Lere Olayinka, shared this in a statement, adding that the committee will work under the supervision of the club’s Board of Trustees, which is led by Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, President of the Court of Appeal.
Wike stated that the quick action is necessary to fix the management problems that have recently affected the club.
The new committee is chaired by Dr. Peter Deshi, with Yomi Oyelola as secretary. Other members include Gbenga Elegbeleye, Nanwor Mamven, Ekanem Ekwueme, Arabi Bello, Lawan Aboki, Okey Nnaedozie, Fred Otobo, and Julius Fadairo.
Wike also clarified that the IBB Golf Club remains the property of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
