NIPOST Announces Date It Will Stop Accepting Cash Payment Across Nigeria

The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has announced that starting from July 1, 2025, it will no longer accept cash payments at any of its offices across the country.

This means that all customers will need to use approved electronic methods to pay for NIPOST services.

The decision was made as part of ongoing efforts to modernise the organisation and improve its efficiency through digital transformation.

According to a statement released on Monday by Frank Alao, NIPOST’s director of corporate communications, the change is aimed at aligning the agency with global standards, supporting Nigeria’s growing digital economy, and contributing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
