Three senators from Kebbi State, who were elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have announced their decision to leave the party and join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
They made this known after meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja on Friday.
The lawmakers are Adamu Aliero representing Kebbi Central, Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi from Kebbi North, and Garba Maidoki of Kebbi South.
They visited the Presidential Villa with APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
During the visit, they shared their plan to align with the ruling party.
This shift is expected to reshape political activities in Kebbi State and strengthen APC’s position both locally and in the National Assembly.
The meeting also had in attendance key figures such as Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
