The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it is carefully reviewing the many complaints it has received following the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
According to JAMB, it has received an unusually high number of complaints mostly from a few specific states since the results were released last Friday.
In response, the board is investigating these concerns thoroughly to see if any technical problems may have affected the exams.
To ensure a fair and accurate review, JAMB has brought in several experts to help.
These include professionals from the Computer Professionals Association of Nigeria, heads of tertiary institutions who serve as Chief External Examiners, assessment experts from the Educational Assessment and Research Network in Africa, and vice chancellors from various universities.
In a statement issued on Monday, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, said the board is speeding up its usual post-exam review process, which normally takes place months after the exams.
This review covers all stages of the exam from registration to the release of results.
JAMB reassured the public that if any technical issues are found, it will take swift corrective action, including rescheduling exams for affected candidates if necessary.
