Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has been named Governor of the Year 2025 by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), Dockaysworld reports.
The honour was announced during the public presentation of the Socio-Economic Impact Report of the ARISE Agenda, held in Uyo. The award was presented on behalf of the NGF Director-General, Abdulateef Shittu, by Professor Abba Gambo.
Eno was elected governor in March 2023 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). His administration has since championed the ARISE Agenda, a blueprint focused on agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, security, and education.
