CAC delists 247 companies

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has removed 247 companies from its official database after discovering that they were not properly registered as limited liability companies.

The decision was made public on Friday through an announcement on X, where the commission explained that the alleged registration certificate numbers linked to the affected companies were not genuine and had never been issued by the CAC.

According to the commission, the names and certificate numbers of the delisted companies have now been erased from its system to prevent further claims of legitimacy.

It also urged the public to disregard any transactions, agreements, or representations made under the names of the affected companies, stressing that they cannot operate as legal entities in Nigeria.
