The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Senator Gbenga Daniel, former governor and current representative of Ogun East, along with his ally, Hon. Kunle Folarin.
The duo were suspended over alleged anti-party activities.
The decision came after both politicians failed to appear before disciplinary panels set up to examine complaints against them.
Daniel was suspended by Ward 4, while Folarin faced suspension from Ward 6 in Sagamu Local Government.
The party’s State Working Committee, led by Chief Yemi Sanusi, reviewed reports from the disciplinary committees on August 19 before confirming the suspensions.
The APC said the action followed its internal procedures and that the suspensions will remain in effect while further investigations continue.
Party officials stated that the decision aligns with maintaining discipline within the party, but it does not yet represent a final judgment on the cases.
The suspensions have drawn attention among party members and political observers in Ogun, as both Daniel and Folarin remain influential figures in state politics.
