Nigeria Police react to ‘wanted’ notice on actress Iyabo Ojo

The Nigeria Police Force has denied issuing a viral “wanted” notice claiming Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was declared wanted by its Monitoring Unit.

In a statement shared on its official Facebook page, the NPF described the notice as “false, misleading, and not issued by the Force.” The police clarified that the alleged poster did not originate from them and was never published on any of their official platforms.

The statement reads: “FAKE NEWS ALERT! This ‘WANTED’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading & was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard & stop spreading fake news.”

The NPF further urged the public to verify all information through official communication channels to avoid falling for misinformation.
