Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has declared that he will support any candidate that emerges from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary ahead of the 2027 election.
He gave the assurance in Lagos during a ceremony where new members were received into the ADC.
The event was attended by the party’s National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, Senator Kolawole Ogunwale, and Lagos State Chairman, George Ashiru.
Atiku, who was represented by Prof. Ola Olateju, explained that the presidential flagbearer of the party would only be determined through a transparent primary.
He maintained that all aspirants would be given equal opportunity and that no individual would be imposed on the party.
He added that whoever emerges from the ADC primary would be fully supported as the party prepares for the 2027 general election.
