Again Dangote truck kills family of five in Enugu days after death of Phyna’s sister (PHOTOS)

Barely days after the death of Ruth Otabor, younger sister of Big Brother Naija winner Phyna, in a crash involving a Dangote truck, another tragic incident has been reported in Enugu State.

A family of five reportedly lost their lives on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, when their vehicle collided with a Dangote truck at Four Corner Junction, leaving no survivors.

Photos from the scene, shared by Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop on Instagram, showed the mangled remains of the family’s car, underscoring the severity of the crash.

The development comes in the wake of public outrage following Ruth’s death on August 31, 2025. Ruth had earlier been struck by a Dangote truck shortly after completing her studies at Auchi Polytechnic.

The accident led to the amputation of her leg, and despite medical intervention, she eventually passed away. Her sister, Phyna, confirmed the news in an emotional statement on Instagram.

The recurring accidents involving Dangote trucks have reignited conversations on road safety, corporate responsibility, and the need for stricter regulations to curb fatalities linked to heavy-duty vehicles on Nigerian roads.
