President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and U.S. President Donald Trump are set to meet in the coming days to address the allegations of a Christian genocide in Nigeria.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, in a post on X.
He stated that the two leaders would meet to discuss shared concerns over terrorism and religious violence.
According to Bwala, both presidents share a common interest in the fight against insurgency and all forms of terrorism.
He noted that President Trump had previously supported Nigeria by authorizing the sale of arms, which the Tinubu administration has effectively utilized in its counterterrorism operations.
Bwala added that any differences in perspective, particularly over whether terrorists in Nigeria target only Christians or people of all faiths, would be discussed and resolved during their meeting.
The talks, he said, are expected to take place either at the State House in Abuja or the White House in Washington.
Recall Dockaysworld reported that President Trump had recently re-designated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over alleged persecution of Christians.
He would later threaten that the U.S. would intervene with military forces or cut aid to Nigeria if the killings continued.
The Nigerian government has repeatedly maintained that terrorism in the country affects both Christians and Muslims alike.
Bwala wrote:

President Trump has assisted Nigeria a lot by authorizing the sale of arms to Nigeria and President Tinubu has adequately utilized the opportunity in the fight against terrorism for which we have massive results to show for it. As for the differences as to whether terrorists in Nigeria target only Christians or in fact all faiths and no faiths, the differences if they exist would be discussed and resolved by the two leaders when they meet in the coming days, either in State House or White House.”
