APC chieftain reveals those behind killings in Igbo land
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Joe Igbokwe, has declared that herdsmen are not responsible for the killings and abductions in the Southeast region of Nigeria.
He said the real cause of the violence is internal and blamed some Igbo people for the attacks taking place in the area.
Igbokwe expressed concern over the rising insecurity, especially the constant attacks and kidnappings by unknown gunmen.
He stated that the people carrying out these actions are not herdsmen, but individuals from within the region.
According to him, many have wrongly accused Hausa/Fulani herders of crimes they did not commit.
He said the blame is being shifted unfairly while the true problem remains among the Igbo people themselves.
In a social media post, he said that the lies surrounding the killings are now too much to ignore.
He described the situation as Igbo people destroying their own communities and then blaming others.
“The blatant and pathological lies about the killings and destruction in the South East can no longer stand.
“It is Igbo killing Igbo, it is Igbo destroying Igboland and put the blame on Hausa/Fulani herdsmen. This is not our culture. This is sad,” Igbokwe stated.
Igbokwe APC is not living in Igboland and rarely visits home. How would he know what is happening. So he is talking trash.
