The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has suspended former House of Representatives member, Muhammad Shehu Koko, along with nine party officials from Koko Local Government Area.
Among those suspended are the APC Vice Chairman of Koko LGA, Muhammad Danyado, the Secretary Biyaminu Muhammad, and the Women Leader Talatu Zauro, as well as other key officials including the youth leader and financial secretary.
The suspensions were reportedly due to accusations of anti-party activities, disloyalty, and the harassment of party executives.
The decision was confirmed by a suspension letter signed by the local APC chairman, Muhammad Maibarga, the local government chairman, Sirajo Usman Koko, and 14 other party stakeholders.
Although associates of Shehu Koko did not comment directly, it is suggested that the suspension could be related to his rumored plans to run for a senatorial seat, which has caused unease among influential figures in the party.
