The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a nationwide mobilisation strategy aimed at delivering 15 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across 11 key states, Dockaysworld reports.
The party’s voter drive was launched at its 14th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where President Tinubu called for an expanded grassroots network and more inclusive party structures.
As part of the new strategy, he announced plans to establish a supervisory committee comprising senior party leaders and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) to coordinate a seamless registration process across the federation.
“We’re expecting more members to come in,” Tinubu said, hinting at the need to accommodate incoming supporters ahead of congresses scheduled for December.
At the forefront of the initiative is the newly elected APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who has pledged to lead the party’s nationwide mobilisation and reconciliation efforts.
“We currently have 23 governors—and counting. Our responsibility is to attract even more,” Yilwatda stated in a recent media interview.
Backing the national agenda, it is understood that regional leaders within the APC have begun setting ambitious targets.
In the North Central region, the APC Forum has promised to secure six million votes for Tinubu, citing renewed confidence following the return of the national chairmanship to the zone.
“Our commitment to deliver six million votes is unwavering,” said Forum Chairman, Saleh Zazzaga.
Similar commitments have emerged from other regions. Akwa Ibom APC leaders have set a target of 3.5 million votes, while Edo State aims to contribute 2.5 million. Benue is targeting two million votes, and party officials in Oyo and Ekiti have jointly pledged 1.2 million.
To reach these numbers, the party is banking on aggressive membership expansion, digital registration tools, and growing defections from rival parties. States such as Delta, Enugu, Ebonyi, Bayelsa, Ekiti, and Akwa Ibom have begun rolling out online registration portals.
