Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea: Bernd Leno error costs Gunners in London derby

Mikel Arteta was denied a first win as Arsenal manager after a Bernd Leno error sparked a dramatic comeback from Chelsea.

Arsenal started superbly at the Emirates and took a deserved lead through skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Chelsea failed to deal with a corner and Calum Chambers’ flick was headed in by Aubameyang, for only Arsenal’s second win in 14 matches.

The visitors were particularly below par in the first half, with their best openings coming from set pieces.

Arsenal appeared comfortable until Bernd Leno fluffed his lines from a Willian cross and Jorginho made no mistake at the back post.

Within four minutes, Chelsea had completed the turnaround as Tammy Abraham turned and fired past Leno to claim the three points.
