Arsenal bounced back from defeat by Chelsea in impressive style as Mikel Arteta celebrated his first win as Gunners boss.
First-half goals from Nicolas Pepe and Sokratis were enough to see off a disappointing Manchester United side on New Year’s Day.
The result lifts Arsenal into 10th in the Premier League table, four points behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United.

Pepe opened the scoring after eight minutes when he curled the ball home before Sokratis pounced to stab home a close-
range rebound three minutes before the break.
Arsenal’s high tempo dropped after the break but United were unable to take advantage as they lost for the second time in four league games.
