Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s smart finish ensured the honours were shared after a hectic north London derby.

Arsenal came out of the blocks quick, looking to stamp their mark on proceedings, but after an initial bright start fell behind to Christian Eriksen’s 10th minute tap in, following a dismal spillage from Bernd Leno.

Harry Kane rattled home a penalty after a brainless Granit Xhaka challenge on Heung-min Son to double the away side’s advantage, but Alexandre Lacazette reduced the arrears with a fine effort on the stroke of half-time.

Arsenal were in the ascendency for much of the second period, but survived a scare as Kane rattled the post with a fierce effort.

And Aubameyang had the final say when he turned home Matteo Guendouzi’s cross, to earn Arsenal a point.
