Arsenal chiefs ‘100 per cent’ behind Emery after worst start to a season since 1992

Unai Emery has been given the backing of the Arsenal board with the Gunners chiefs seeing an improvement in the side’s performances.

The Gunners stretched their winless run in the Premier League to over a month as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Leicester on Saturday evening.

The loss condemned the Gunners to their worst start to a season since 1982.

Pressure has therefore grown on the Spaniard, who took over from Arsene Wenger at the beginning of the last season.

But according to the Reports, there are absolutely no plans to get rid of Emery, with Arsenal’s hierarchy “100 per cent” behind the manager.

Arsenal are currently sixth in the table, behind Sheffield United on goal difference, and eight points adrift of the top four with Manchester City boasting a game in hand.
