Bandits on Saturday night reportedly kidnapped a bride, her bridesmaids and several well-wishers in Chacho village, Wurno LGA of Sokoto State.
Dockaysworld gathered that the gunmen reportedly invaded around midnight, shooting sporadically before taking the victims.
Sokoto APC chairman, Hon. Isah Sadeeq Achida, confirmed the abductions but said he could not verify if the bride was among those taken.
Police spokesperson DSP Ahmed Rufai could not be reached.
The attack came hours after a ₦4m ransom and a motorcycle were reportedly paid to free earlier victims in Rabah, deepening fears over rising insecurity.
Residents said many fled into bushes during the raid and that the abductors have yet to contact the community.
No official government statement has been issued.
