Billionaire Rabiu pledges N1bn to Super Eagles for AFCON trophy, N140m for each goal scored


Nigerian billionaire businessman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged rewards numbering over a billion naira to the Super Eagles should they clinch the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title.

In an Instagram post seen by Dockaysworld, Rabiu congratulated the team for beating Algeria 2-0 to book a place in the semi-finals where they meet host nation, Morocco. 

To motivate the players, Rabiu announced a pledge of $500,000 if the Super Eagles win their semi-final match, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored.

He added that should Nigeria go on to win the final, he would donate $1 million(1.4 billion naira) to the team, alongside an extra $100,000(N140M) for each goal scored.

Rabiu wished the players continued success, urging them to keep making Nigeria proud as they represent the country on the continental stage.
