The 45th President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has been impeached by the House of Representatives and an incoming trial at the House of Senate will determine if he loses his job.
Donald was brought up on charges including abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
He’s the 3rd president after Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton to be impeached.
The abuse of power was due to his alleged involvement in the investigations by Ukraine against his democratic candidate, Joe Biden. While his offense of obstruction of Congress was due to his alleged attempt at impeding the impeachment proceedings by withholding evidence.
Trump lost 230 – 197 and 229 – 198 on the first and second counts respectively.
Unlike the House of Representatives, The house of senate is dominated by the republicans and might opt to keep Trump in office after his trial there.
