Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor announced his defection on Monday during a brief ceremony at the Government House in Enugu.
“Today, after a long reflection, we have made the decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party and join the All Progressives Congress,” Mbah said.
This is coming after the government house was abuzz the day before with APC regalia all over and members of the Enugu government already telegraphing the now confirmed move from their principal.
This comes after other defections by governors to the national party in power including Delta state governor, Akwa Ibom and others reportedly forthcoming.
