The Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) has suspended its ongoing nationwide strike following promises by the Federal Government to hold a meeting on the 4th of October, with the three arm minimum wage committee of the union as regards the issue of the minimum wage increment.
The announcement was made in Abuja on today Sunday, by the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, who stated that the strike action was suspended to enable the tripartite committee to hold its crucial meeting and conclude its work.
The suspension of the strike takes effect from today.
