Streaming platform Twitch has reportedly suspended the account of Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe, just days after he broke follower records on the platform.
Carter Efe shared a screenshot of an email from Twitch on his Instagram page, confirming the action taken against his account.
In the message, Twitch said the suspension followed a review of his activity or content, noting that the decision was based on violations of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
The company added that the suspension is global and temporarily restricts his access to Twitch services.
The platform also warned that repeated violations could result in stiffer penalties, including longer suspensions or a permanent ban.
The development comes shortly after Carter Efe reached 400,000 followers on Twitch, having surpassed 300,000 followers only days earlier.
The milestone made him the most followed African streamer on the platform.
His rapid rise was driven by a live stream featuring music star Davido, which drew massive viewership and significantly boosted his follower count.
