Nigerian singer Burna Boy, has emerged the winner of the Best International Act category of the 2019 BET Awards which took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, United States of America (USA).
Burna Boy who won the Best International Act category at the 2019 BET Awards, was nominated alongside alongside Mr. Eazi (Nigeria); AKA (South Africa); Aya Nakamura (France); Dave (U.K.); Dosseh (France) and Giggs (U.K).
The self styled ‘African Giant’ even though present at the Awards show was not on hand to receive his award himself.

His mother who has received several other awards on her son’s behalf was there again to accept it.
She ended up delivering an acceptance speech at the event due to restlessness and tension caused by Burna’s absence.

She told the superstars present to remember that ‘every black person should remember they were Africans before anything else’.
