Video: Chris Brown to spend 6 months in jail for getting a monkey as a pet

American R & B star, Chris Brown might be going to jail for 6 months because of a monkey.

TMZ reported that he had been arraigned by the Los Angeles City Attorney on a two count charge of obtaining a restricted specie without a permit.  

The monkey, a capuchin named Fiji became the subject of discussion when a video of Chris’s daughter, Royalty playing with it surfaced online. People complained that a child shouldn’t be playing with a wild animal but Chris paid them no mind. 

He was later reported by one of said people to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife who discovered he had no license. 

He has not only handed over Fiji to the authorities, he is to appear before the court February 6.
