Comedian Princess has reacted to the release of actor Olanrewaju “Baba Ijesha” James after he completed his sentence for sexually assaulting a minor.
In a video seen by Dockaysworld on her Instagram page, she questioned why anyone would expect that God would punish her for holding a convicted offender accountable.
Princess also mentioned general locations the actor often frequented, warning the public to stay alert and ensure that potential victims are prepared.
She added that those who defended him in the past would never allow their own children near him, noting that many of his loudest supporters are abroad.
The comedian further called out actor Yomi Fabiyi for allegedly trying to destroy the case, stressing that Baba Ijesha served his full term and was not vindicated as some have claimed.
She reiterated her appeal to the Department of Justice to promptly add his name to the sex offenders’ register, as is standard practice.
Recall that actor Olanrewaju “Baba Ijesha” James was released after serving over three years in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The case initially gained widespread attention after Comedian Princess raised the alarm, reporting that the victim was a minor in her care.
He was later convicted in July 2022 by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offences Court following a trial that lasted more than 12 months.
The matter began with his arrest in April 2021 and was eventually transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba.
The prosecution presented six witnesses, while the defence fielded four, including the actor himself, supported by a legal team led by two Senior Advocates of Nigeria.
