A Federal High Court in Abuja has found suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan guilty of contempt of court.
The ruling was delivered on Friday, July 4, by Justice Binta Nyako.
The court faulted Senator Natasha for disobeying a previous order by making a satirical apology to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, through a post on her Facebook page dated April 7.
The court said the post mocked a gag order that had earlier barred both parties from making public comments about the matter.
In response to the breach, the judge directed Senator Natasha to publish a fresh apology in two national newspapers and also on her Facebook page within seven days.
She was also ordered to pay a fine of N5 million.
The contempt charge stemmed from an action brought before the court by Senator Akpabio.
However, the court refused to grant him any personal relief beyond the contempt ruling.
Natasha is innocent in that case but government want her to suffer.
