Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, who represents the Cross River North Senatorial District, has formally dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His defection was made public shortly after a private meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday evening.
Jarigbe was accompanied to the meeting by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Kaila Samaila Dahuwa of Bauchi North, who also switched allegiance to the ruling party.
