Onyekuru who plays his trade with French side AS Monaco has had a mixed season so far and has struggled for game time.
Signing for Plug Sports, a subsidiary of the Plug Entertainment (founded by Bizzle Osikoya and Asa Asika), is involved in the management of sports talents means onyekuru is looking forward to taking his career to the next level.
The parent company, Plug Entertainment, operates as a music management, music publishing and licensing, and music distribution company. They work with some of the biggest talents in the world including Davido, Peruzzi, Mayorkun.
The partnership, which was facilitated by Prokicks UK limited, a company based in United Kingdom, was signed on December 26, 2019 at the Plug Office, Lagos, Nigeria.
