During the gathering, the governors discussed the state of the nation, rising insecurity, the decline of democratic values, and strategies to strengthen the PDP ahead of its national convention in November.

They criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for policies that have caused hardship to citizens and warned that the party could face rejection in the 2027 elections.

The governors also raised concerns about recent by-elections, describing them as heavily militarized and marred by violence, vote-buying, and irregularities.

Despite defections in the party, they stated that PDP still holds strong support at the grassroots and continues to appeal to Nigerians.

On security, they condemned the killings in states including Katsina, Plateau, Niger, and Benue, urging the federal government to take stronger measures to protect lives and property.
