Multichoice has announced a new increase in subscription fees for its DStv and GOtv packages, set to take effect from March 1, 2025.
The company informed customers of the adjustment in a notice signed by CEO John Ugbe.
According to the statement, the price change is necessary to maintain the quality of content and services provided.
The company cited economic challenges, including currency depreciation and inflation, as reasons for the adjustment.
Under the new pricing, DStv Compact will now cost N19,000, up from N15,700, while Compact Plus will increase from N24,500 to N30,000.
The Premium package will rise from N29,500 to N44,500.
GOtv subscribers will also face new rates, with GOtv Max increasing from N6,200 to N8,500, and GOtv Supa Plus moving from N13,500 to N16,800.
This marks another price review by Multichoice, coming nearly a year after the last adjustment.
The company has assured customers that it remains committed to delivering both local and international content despite economic difficulties.
