The Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission has nullified the employment of 324 newly engaged workers, declaring their appointment letters “unauthorized, illegal and unlawful.”
In a public notice issued on 1st of December 2025, the Commission said the employment process that produced the 324 letters did not follow due process and therefore cannot stand.
“It is hereby announced for the general public that the recent issuance of employment letters to 324 people by the Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission was unauthorized, illegal and unlawful,” the statement read.
The Commission added that all the appointment letters are “null, void and of no effect whatsoever.”
It also offered an apology to the affected individuals, expressing regret for the inconvenience caused by the botched recruitment.
