Ex APC Federal Lawmaker Dies In Abuja
Former member of the House of Representatives for Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency in Taraba State, Hon. Abdulsalam Mubarak, has died in Abuja after a brief illness.
The former lawmaker, who represented his constituency from 2015 to 2023 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was reported to have fallen ill about three weeks ago before being taken to a hospital in the nation’s capital.
Despite medical care, he passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025.
Mubarak’s death has thrown his family, colleagues, and political associates into mourning.
Tributes have been pouring in from across Taraba and beyond, with many describing him as a committed leader who devoted his time in office to the service of his people.
The late politician’s funeral prayer was held at the National Mosque in Abuja on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. after the Zuhr prayer, before his burial.
Family members, friends, and well-wishers are expected to attend the Janazah.
Mubarak is remembered not only for his role as a lawmaker but also for his impact on his constituency.
He is survived by his family, who, along with the people of Taraba State, are left to mourn his passing.
