Ex Madrid Goalkeeper Iker Casillas comes out gay, set to expose relationship with Puyol [photos]

Legendary Spain and ex-Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, has revealed that he’s gay with ex-colleague Carles Puyol chiming in.

The former goalkeeper took to his Twitter page to share the revelation to the shock of many fans and followers.

He tweeted: “I hope you respect me: I’m gay.”

In more surprises, former Barcelona legend and captain Carles Puyol commented underneath the post in a suggestive manner.

His comment seemed to imply that he has a romantic relationship with the goalkeeper who was his intense rival while the duo were active in football.

He wrote:

It’s time to tell our story, Iker ❤️

Recall that the retired goalie broke up with his presenter and model partner Sara Carbonero back in March 2021 but said they would remain close to continue the ‘marvellous job’ of raising their two children.

Iker Casillas Fernández is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Popularly dubbed “San Iker” for his ability to produce spectacular saves, Casillas is widely considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time.
