Exclusive: Chelsea make opening bid for Ligue 1 striker

Reports from French Football understands English Football Club Chelsea, have opening bid to sign Lyon striker Moussa Dembélé.

Frank Lampard is understood to be eyeing a forward signing in the January transfer window and has cited Dembele as one of his targets along with Super eagles foward Victor Osimhen.

The news comes after Lyon released a statement yesterday afternoon, in which they had the following to say:

“We are reaffirming our desire to keep Moussa Dembélé. The club has complete confidence in Moussa and we count on him as we build a powerful team for the seasons to come”.

However, Sources from France refused to comment whether or not Lyon are inclined to negotiate and whether or not the player is interested in making the move this month.
