Family speaks on Ganduje being rushed to emergency ward in London

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is currently in London receiving medical attention, but he is not in critical condition as widely rumoured.

His family and close aides have dismissed reports suggesting that his health has severely deteriorated.

Ganduje, who is 75 years old, was said to have been sick, but his Chief of Staff, Mohammed Garba, stated that the health concerns are minor and not life-threatening.

He confirmed that the former Kano governor is stable and there is no cause for panic.

Garba explained that Ganduje has been in London since the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, which is why he could not attend the funeral.

He said they spoke with him recently and he was doing fine.

A family member also confirmed that there is no truth in the viral reports.

Although the person had not spoken to Ganduje directly, they had received updates from those staying with him and noted there was nothing to suggest a serious health crisis.

Ganduje stepped down from his position as APC National Chairman earlier this year, citing health reasons in his resignation letter.

However, his later appointment as Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) sparked debate.

Some questioned whether his resignation was truly health-related, while others linked it to possible efforts to bring his political rival, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, back into the APC.
