Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, drew attention at the wedding of his daughter, Temi Otedola, to singer Mr Eazi with an emotional yet humorous speech that praised his wife and offered advice to the new couple.
Speaking at the ceremony, Otedola lauded his wife, Nana Otedola, for her sacrifices in raising their children while he focused on building wealth.
“I must give credit to Nana, because when we had Temi, I was busy looking for money to look after them, and she sacrificed everything, all my bad habits, to make sure they were well looked after and spent every minute with them,” he said.
Turning to his daughter, the billionaire commended her choice of partner and urged her to embrace her new role as a wife.
“Temi, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours. You found yourself a great guy from a decent family. One thing I will advise you is to succumb to the whims and caprices of your husband. He is your husband, he is your boss, there’s no more daddy, don’t call me,” he added to laughter from guests.
Otedola rounded off his speech by presenting the couple with his recently published memoir, Making It Big: Lessons From A Life In Business.
